Authorities are looking for a feasible shipwreck off the coast of Northern California soon after debris — which includes pieces of a wooden boat, garments, and footwear — have been found on a beach Wednesday, officials stated.

The U.S. Coast Guard Pacific Southwest division posted to Twitter that crews have been looking the waters soon after a debris field was discovered close to Pacifica, situated about 15 miles south of San Francisco. 

Pieces of the boat, footwear and clothes have been recovered on the beach halfway in between Pacifica Pier and Point Mori, according to KTVU.

Officials stated they did not obtain any distress calls in the region, and it was unclear if the boat somehow became loose or if there have been any mariners that necessary help.
